Smart Home, Software, Hardware, Mobile Computing & Co.We introduced TRex to you last year.TRex is an open source and free app to extract text from images. So the software applies OCR to the images. With macOS 12 Monterey, this is already supported in some apps on modern Macs ex works. However, TRex offers a lot more and the newly released version 1.5.0 is aimed at users who want to do a little more. You can now run a shortcut after successfully extracting text.In addition, there are now dedicated keyboard shortcuts, an Alfred workflow and a command line interface for OCR files without the corresponding graphical user interface. There's also support for custom words. When users use TRex for highly specialized text (medical, technical, etc.), they can improve text recognition by providing a list of words specific to their field of expertise. As you can see: an update for advanced users, whereby TRex is of course still very easy to use. This article contains affiliate links, so we're marking it as advertising.Clicking on it will take you directly to the provider. If you decide to make a purchase there, we will receive a small commission.Nothing changes in the price for you.Thank you for your support! If I install the Github variant (zip file and then move the app directly to the app directory), the app cannot be started (Macos 11.6.2).The log says something about termination due to SIGABRT.what am I doing wrong here?Anyone experience on this?Known bug, 1.5.1 is out and fixes it for me.From October: Hand in unpackaged Amazon returns to DHLVodafone: Disturbance in Baden-WürttembergSPD wants a 49-euro ticket that is valid nationwideStrato: Individual email address for 25 centsTelekom confirms fiber optic marketing start for more than 430,000 households in 66 municipalitiesNuki Smart Lock 3.0: product recall of some locksGoogerteller: App beeps every time the calculator transmits data to GoogleDeutsche Post DHL and Burger King start packing station cooperationBaden-Württemberg: Combating climate change with the “Klima Buddy” CO2 appPublic broadcasting should be...We look forward to your tips, news & suggestions! To the formCaschy's Blog © 2022.
