The Lilliput WS500 Wireless Video Transmission System is the latest entry into the affordable wireless video space.

The system consists of TX and RX units that both feature 3G-SDI and HDMI. Just like most other similar systems, it can not only send images from the TX to the RX, but it can also be linked to up to three mobile devices, allowing multiple people to view the feed. Lilliput claims that the latency is less than 80ms.

The WS500 Wireless Video Transmission System has a claimed range of 500′ (line-of-sight) and it works in the 5GHz spectrum. It features an LED status screen and it can be powered via Sony L-Series battery or USB Type-C. Both the Tx and RX units weigh 200g / 7.05 oz.

You can also use the system with the Lilliput app on your mobile device so you can live stream to most social media platforms. Speaking of the app, it has most of the video assist tools you would expect to see such as focus peaking, zebras, image zoom, markers, and start/stop recording.

The Lilliput WS500 Wireless Video Transmission System is now available to pre-order for $499 USD.

This is pretty good value for an SDI/HDMI-equipped wireless video system that features separate TX and RX units, however, there is nothing particularly special about this product given there are already so many similar options available.
