CCTV footage has caught the moment a building was damaged in a serious crash on Keighley Road in Bradford earlier this morning.

West Yorkshire Police said two police vehicles had crashed into the building in Frizinghall on Monday morning. The A650 has been closed in both directions since and causing delays in the area.

CCTV footage captured of the crash around 4.15am shows a car barrelling into the building on the left side of the camera. Pictures from the scene this morning show extensive damage caused to the affected building beside the J&M Halal Mini Market.

Accident investigation work is ongoing at the scene, with police, a fire engine and a cordon all in place. One family living above the crash scene said they "heard a noise like a bomb".

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Police are currently at the scene of a road traffic collision on Keighley Road involving two police vehicles. The collision has caused damage to a building, the road remains closed whilst the building is made safe. This is being treated as a damage only collision."

According to Inrix, the closure is currently between Beamsley Road and Northdale Road.
