Set with the intention of celebrating the power of curiosity and exploring the unknown, Burberry's latest campaign, "Night Creatures," spotlights the intersection between creativity and curiosity. Exploration has always been synonymous with the original Burberry narrative, paying tribute to the Maisons founder, Thomas Burberry. Through his own initiative, he enabled a few of the most remarkable adventures at the time to move past the perils of uncertainty and venture into the unimaginable. Since then, the house of Burberry has continued to strive forward, holding forth the same mindset - creating outerwear pieces that empower the wearer to go beyond the unknown and embark on unique and thrilling adventures.
The Burberry outerwear collection includes technical pieces crafted to navigate various adventures, from outdoor discovery to big-city explorations. Burberry Night Check – the latest iteration of Burberry's signature pattern – nods to the brand's love of the natural world by mirroring the night sky with bright white stars nestled in a blanket of dark charcoal blue. This seasonal color scheme animates an array of puffer jackets and tactile fleeces. Technical styles of lightweight, color-block nylon jackets exude hues of optic white and dark charcoal blue, as well as an oversized parka highlighted with Horseferry print. Burberry's iconic trench is reinterpreted in bespoke gabardine and cut to the signature Kensington fit.
Following in tandem with the outerwear drop is an exclusive campaign film, in collaboration with Megaforce, in an effort to bring this story to life. The film illustrates a trio of Burberry explorers tentatively approaching an undiscovered creature. Shortly after, the cast is swept up by the creature in the spirit of adventure. Entangled together, the creature and cast spin and dance. Connecting with one another to move as one. Relishing the joy and opportunity found in fearlessly embracing the unknown, they embody the bold and courageous spirit that unites adventurers. As the film draws to a close, the ensemble floats atop the waters of the River Thames and journeys into the night. Embracing their next adventure and what it holds together. The still imagery, shot by George Eyers, continues to celebrate exploration in the city. The dynamic images feature the individuals in the film, shot from different perspectives, surrounded by London landscapes.
